Howard Noah Powers, age 81, of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020.
Born on May 4, 1938, in Hollywood, he was a son of the late Robert and Ida Rona Whitener Powers. Mr. Powers worked for Mt. Airy Wood Preserving Company and attended Cool Springs Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughters, Freda Moses and Anita Dale and brothers, Ernest Powers and Robert Powers, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Lulabel Nation Powers of Cornelia; sons, Cranford Powers of Lincolnton, NC and Hollis Noah Powers of Ranlo, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Powers of Cornelia; sisters, Pat Black of Mt. Holly, NC and Evelyn Dickerson of Green Cove, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
