James Cantrell

March 31, 1945 — May 24, 2013

James Rondald Cantrell, age 68 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013, at his residence.
Born in White County on April 6, 1945, he was a son of the late Samuel Claude and Blanche Wilson Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell was the owner and operator of Cantrell and Sons Logging for over 50 years. He was a member of Amy’s Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Kita Cantrell and Regina Underwood.
Surviving are wife of 50 years, Jean Shuler Cantrell of Cleveland; son, Lynn Cantrell of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Jan & Scott Lovell of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Chris & Vonda Cantrell of Clarkesville; sisters, Darlene DeMore of Macon, Juanelle Deitz of Clyde, NC and Rita Martin of Vienna, WV; brothers, Kenneth Cantrell, Charles Cantrell, and Lanny Cantrell all of Baldwin; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, May 27, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Anthony Cook and Rev. Raymond Fortner officiating. Interment will follow in Amy’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 am until the service hour on Monday.
