Jean Church Smith, age 64, of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022.
Born on January 24, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Jake Church and Lucille Hallford Church. Mrs. Smith began her career with Piedmont Automotive just after high school and continued until her retirement. Mrs. Smith was a loving wife, mother and Nana, and was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid Bulldog fan, who enjoyed housekeeping and working with flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky J. Church.
Survivors include her husband, Loyd Smith of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Shay and Savynna Smith of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Kale Mason of Mt. Airy; grandsons, Tucker and Chipper Smith and Caden Hamilton; brother and sister-in-law, David J. and Freda Church of Mt. Airy; sister-in-law, Nancy Church of Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
