Jessie McAllister, age 74 of Mt. Airy, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 27, 2018.
Born on December 27, 1943, in Brookfield, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Etta Clemens Pierce. Mrs. McAllister was formerly employed as a nursing aid for many years. She enjoyed attending services and singing at Camp Creek Baptist Church, where she was a member. In her spare time she also enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McAllister; sister, Dorothy Weidman.
Survivors include her children, Faith Williams of Preston New York, Lawrence Abrams of South New Berlin, New York, Beverly Abrams of Mt. Airy, Timothy Abrams of South New Berlin, New York, Tammy Abrams of Staton Island, New York, Randy Abrams of Waterville, New York and Rodney Abrams of Cooperstown, New York; brother, Leroy Pierce of Florida; several stepchildren; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friend, Sheila Bennett of Demorest.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday at Camp Creek Baptist Church with Pastor James Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11am until the service hour on Monday at the church.
