Jessie Williams

Jessie Mae Williams, age 95 of Clarkesville, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Habersham Home.
Born in Green County, Georgia on February 27, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Tolbert and Lula Smith Bramlett. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, especially her roses which received several awards. She was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church where she was known for baking bread that was used for communion.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Williams; two infant sons and brothers, Gene Bramlett, Roy Bramlett, Nelson Bramlett, Jim Bramlett and Stoy Bramlett.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Lou & Franklin Martin of Dillard; son and daughter-in-law, Howard & Louise Williams of Demorest; grandchildren, Shannon (Kevin) Hill, Sheila Williams and Robert (Lois) Waymire; great grandchildren, Fiona, Keely & Aidan Waymire; sister, Mary Ell Palmer of Demorest.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Friday, January 25, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. John Humphries and Rev. Hal Cason officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday.
