Joan Ellenburg Saville, age 67 of Cornelia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
Born on April 29, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Roy Lee Ellenburg and Mary Ann Thompson Ellenburg. Mrs. Saville is retired from Advantage Contracting Services. Joan was a member of New Birth Baptist Church where she served as the treasurer. She loved her family fiercely, and in her spare time enjoyed gardening and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Ellenburg.
Survivors include her loving husband, Clifford “Chip” Saville of Cornelia; daughter and son-in-law, Angelia “Angie” Chazelle (Donald) of Thomson; grandchildren, Tayler White, and C.J. White (Ande); great grandchildren, Cooper and Carter White; brother, Larry Ellenburg; sister, Rebecca Lovell both of Clarkesville; brother-in-law and spouse, Glenn Ivie (Gail); sisters-in-law, Cindy Brookshire and Cheryl Ellenburg; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4 pm, Saturday, March 4, 2023 in the Chapel of McGahee ~ Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Mike Wilson and Rev. Shannon Irvin officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
