John C. “J. J.” Jennings, Jr., age 72, of Clarkesville, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his residence.
Born on January 15, 1943, in Kingsport, Tennessee he was a son of the late John Condry and Georgia Mae Tipton Jennings. He was employed with Atlas and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Jennings enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Jennings; niece, Amy Jennings.
Survivors include companion of 7 years, Pamela Mitchell of Clarkesville; son, Jeff Jennings of Sacramento, California; stepson, Peter Sfragidas of Toccoa; sister, Esma Jennings of Stockbridge; nephews, Alan Jennings (Rebecca) and Nicholas Hood (Sarah); niece, Jennifer Stone (Andy).
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 11 am, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Terry Rice officiating.
