John Eugene Loggins, age 75, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022.
Born on December 26, 1946 in Demorest, he was a son of the late William “Bill” Loggins and Etta Lee House Loggins. Mr. Loggins enjoyed spending time with his family and farming. He was a member at Good News Baptist Church where he loved his church family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Paula Bryant Loggins; brother, David Loggins; and sister, Willie Loudermilk.
Survivors include his wife, Janie Standridge Loggins of Mt. Airy; children and their spouses, Patricia Echols (Jeff) of Toccoa, Johnny Loggins of Cornelia, Cindy Williamson (Steven) of Mt. Airy, Jeanie “Becky” Brown (Jason) of Sautee; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, James Loggins of Carnesville and Joseph Loggins of Mt. Airy; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11 am on Friday, July 29, 2022, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Austin Kelley and Rev. Alvin Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 and 6 – 8 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the funeral home.
