John William Weathers, Jr., age 64, of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at his residence.
Born on July 19, 1951, in Elberton, Georgia, he was the son of John William Weathers, Sr. of Anderson, South Carolina and Dorothy Greenway Weathers of Cornelia. Mr. Weathers was a graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Textile Chemistry and was the owner and operator of Weathers Sales Company. He was a member of the Chi Phi fraternity.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his wife, Karen Shea Weathers of Cornelia and numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are 12 noon Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
Following the service, the family will receive friends at the residence, 135 Grand Avenue, Cornelia, Georgia 30531.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Chi Phi Educational Trust, Omega Chapter, 1160 Satellite Boulevard, Suwanee, Georgia 30024, in memory of John William Weathers, Jr.
