Judy Elaine Richards, age 54 of Mt. Airy, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 2, 2012.
Born in Rabun County on June 4, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Sam L. Holden and Irene Tyler Holden. She was previously employed with Scovill Manufacturing and a member of Hollywood Baptist Church. Ms. Richards was known for her sense of humor. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Carlton Holden and sister, Betty Sue Holden.
Surviving are her constant companion and love of her life, Jimmy Ayers of Mt. Airy; siblings, Genell Looney of Demorest, Patsy (Thurmond) Gibson of Clarkesville, Charles (Vickie) Holden of Demorest, Jean (Wayne) Simpson of Cornelia, Reba (Angus) Hunter of Clarkesville, James (Dianne) Holden of Cornelia; Martha Cook of Demorest, Buster (Pam) Derrick of Bloomington, IN, Andy (Genda) Derrick of Demorest and Lynn (Johnny) Broomfield of Mt. Airy, NC.
Funeral services are 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Don Samples officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Monday.
