Katherine “Kat” Gosnell Colley, age 89, of Toccoa, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
Born on May 10, 1930, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of the late Lester Brady and Ester Lillie Gibson Gosnell. Mrs. Colley was a seamstress for Yonah Realty for 34 years, was a security guard for Coats & Clark, and also worked at Pinline Garment Company. She was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Colley; brother, Arvil Gosnell; and sister, Rosie G. Hubbard.
Survivors include her daughter, Nina Weller of Toccoa; grandson, Jonathan Kinsey; great-grandchildren: Shelby, Christian, and Courtney Stimmel and Caleb Kinsey; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, October 18, 2019, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the funeral home.
