Keary Maurice Nicely, age 39 of Gainesville and formerly of Cornelia, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Stephens County on November 19, 1974, he was a son of Eddie Nicely, Sr. of Gainesville and Brenda Tate Nicely of Cornelia. Mr. Nicely was a truck driver by trade and also an entrepreneur who was currently working on building his own landscaping business. He was of the Christian faith. Described by his family, Keary was a very compassionate and personable person who always offered his love and support. He was a strong man of body and spirit and never met a stranger. Keary was a modern renaissance man and a jack of all trades from truck driving to carpentry. He was also seeker of truth and enjoyed living life to the fullest. To know Keary, is to love Keary.
Mr. Nicely leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Sommer Nicely of Gainesville; mother, Brenda Tate Nicely of Cornelia; father, Eddie Nicely, Sr.; children, Justice Nicely and Joshua Nicely both of Gainesville, Aliyah and MaKeara Nicely both of Cornelia; Micah Nicely and Amya Nicely both of Florida, and Kindred Brown of California; brothers, Eddie Nicely, Jr. and Kelly Nicely, both of Gainesville, Shawn Nicely of Stone Mountain, and Aaron Nicely of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Paige Nicely of Cornelia and Dee Nicely of Oakwood; special aunt, Gwen Tate of Atlanta; also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of Keary’s life will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Wednesday.
