Kenneth Larry Wylie, age 61 of Mt. Airy, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Buford, Georgia on December 17, 1954, he was a son of Gracie Louise Day Wylie Jones and the late Fred Marshall Wylie. Mr. Wylie was a retired correctional officer with Lee Arrendale State Prison. He proudly served his country for 20 years with the United States Army and was a member of Buford Church of Christ.
In addition to his father, Mr. Wylie was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Joyce Davidson Wylie; son, Christopher Brian Wylie; brother, Gary Wylie; and sister, Sheila Nickell.
Surviving are his mother, Gracie Louise Day Wylie Jones; son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Amber Wylie of Mt. Airy; brother, Dale Wayne Wylie; 2 granddaughters; several other family and friends.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 3 pm, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Habersham Church of Christ, 326 Double Bridge Conn., Mt. Airy, GA 30563. All family and friends are requested to meet at the church by 2:45 pm on Sunday.
