Larry Smith, age 61 of Cornelia, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015.
Born in Habersham County on January 21, 1954, he was a son of the late Noble and Lizzie Payne Smith. Mr. Smith was a self employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed golfing and talking to people in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, Leroy and Tommy Smith; sisters, Linda Gail Smith and Doris Smith.
Surviving are wife of 12 years, Carol Tomlin Smith of Cornelia; son, Kevin Smith of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Pastor Chad Holcomb of Baldwin; brothers, Harold Smith of Baldwin, Steve Smith of Demorest, L.N. Smith of Martin, Billy Smith of Baldwin, Bobby Smith of Homer and Leon Smith of Gainesville; sister, Edith Ansley of the Hollingsworth Community; 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are 2 pm Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Lamar Christian Church with Pastor Chad Holcomb and Rev. Scott Smith officiating.
