Larry Wilson Holland, age 63, of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Hall County on December 15, 1950, he was a son of Eva Mae Burton Garner of Cornelia and the late Dock Holland. Mr. Holland was a self-employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He was also an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include wife of 42 years, Sherrie Ferguson Holland of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Stacey and Brittany Holland of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Addie, Emma and Mason Holland all of Clarkesville; siblings, James Burton (Brenda) of Cornelia, Laverne Lewallen of Cornelia, Tim Garner (Sandra) of Lula and Tammy Murray of Homer; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, September 6, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Danny O’Kelley, Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Good News Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Yarber officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
