Laura Jane Morris Gosnell, age, 83, of Cornelia, passed away Thursday, December 08, 2011at her residence.
Born in Mercer County, OH, on October 17, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles Howard Morris and Leona Ellen Robertson Gosnell. Mrs. Gosnell was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Raymond Douglas Gosnell; daughter, Rose Standridge.
Surviving are daughters, Victoria Gosnell of Dawsonville, Pamela Sue Stevens of Athens, Diane Gosnell of IN, Teresa Henson of Cornelia, Debra Young of FL, Cindy Herbert of Lula; sons, Steven D. Gosnell of SC, Keith Allen Gosnell of Orlando FL, Danny Lee Gosnell of Cornelia, Ricky Joe Gosnell of SC, Charles Edward Gosnell of Cornelia, Richard Wayne Gosnell of SC, David Michael Gosnell of Alto, Timothy Jackson Gosnell of Clarkesville, Gary Duane Gosnell of NY, James Leon Gosnell of NY; brother, Ralph Painter of IN; 39+ grandchildren, 41+ great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2011 from Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Saturday.
