Mr. Lee Roy Williams, age 81 of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Christmas Eve Thursday, December 24, 2020.
Mr. Williams was born on April 30, 1939 to the late Doyle and Gertrude Williams in Franklin County, Georgia. He was retired from Cornelia Verneer Company and loved his family, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Louise; daughter Pamela; and siblings, Lola Mae, Anzel, Earnest and W.C.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing his children, Kenneth (Peggy) of the home, Victor (Wendy) of Bardstown, Kentucky, Roy Lee (Sherry) of Toccoa, Georgia; nine grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Eastview Cemetery with Bishop Billy Joe Jenkins officiating. Services will be live-streamed from McGahee-Griffin and Stewart’s Facebook page for those not able to attend.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Those in attendance are asked to please adhere to the public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.
