LEWIS DANIEL DAVIDSON, age 72 of Alto, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 03, 2016.

Born in Banks County, Georgia on August 13, 1944, he was a son of the late Joe Dennis & Florean Meeks Davidson. Mr. Davidson proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked with Mount Vernon Mills for many years before starting his own businesses. Mr. Davidson was the owner of Outback Wood Products, Inc. and a member of the New Life Fellowship Church. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Richard Davidson and sister, Yvonne Chitwood.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Evalene Crocker Davidson of Alto; sons and daughter-in-law, Scott & Juanita Davidson, Tracy Davidson all of Alto; brothers & sisters-in-law, Perry & Sue Davidson of Alto, Jerry & Ginny Davidson of Cleveland, Ricky & Dale Davidson of Alto; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Blalock of Alto, Brenda & Dale Ivie, Cheryl Poole, Frances & Rev. Lester Haynes all of Baldwin; Peggy Hamby of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Justin & Julie Davidson, Bridget & Andy Baker, A.J. Davidson, Cassi Davidson, Logan Davidson all of Alto; great-grandchildren, Bentley Davidson & Zander Baker, both of Alto; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 06, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Deron Crocker officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Sinai Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
