Lillian D. Pruitt, age 89 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018.
Born in Banks County, Georgia on May 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses & Laura Evans Worley. She worked as a seamstress for many years with Carwood Manufacturing and Yonah Realty. Mrs. Pruitt was a faithful member of Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Brabson Pruitt, son, Jerry Pruitt; daughter, Judy Parker; grandchildren, Greg Martin, Teresa Perry & Melissa Parker.
Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Tommy & Pat Pruitt of Mt. Airy; Keith Pruitt of Eastanollee; daughters and son-in-law, Joyce & Hayward Dyer of Alto, Sandra Pruitt of Dawsonville; daughter-in-law, Debbie Pruitt of Mt. Airy; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Worley of Danville, Virginia and Grover Worley of Sacramento, California.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am, Monday, May 21, 2018 at Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Scott Ledbetter and Rev. Terry Benfield officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3-6 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
