Lillie Etrulia Shiflett, age 84 of Cornelia, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014.
Born on October 28, 1929 in Anderson, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Alpha Geneva Farr Davis. Ms. Shiflett was a retired machine operator for Glen Raven Inc. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and was of the Baptist faith. She was affectionately known by her immediate family as “Cootie.”
In addition to her mother, Ms. Shiflett was also preceded in death by her step father, Frank Davis; brother, Melvyn Shiflett.
Survivors include special caregivers, Mike & Debbie Shiflett and Josh, Erin, and Cooper Shiflett; brothers, Haskell Shiflett of Anderson, SC and Odell Shiflett of Central, SC; also surviving are other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
Graveside services are 11:00 am Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Double Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Townville, SC.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
