Lincoln Malcom Burgess, age 5 of Alto, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021.
Born in Athens, Georgia on October 19, 2016, he was a son of Jeffery and Jessica Wade Burgess of Alto. Lincoln never met a stranger and enjoyed making people happy. He loved spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Lincoln is preceded in death by his aunts, Autumn Wade and Cynthenia Wade.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his brother, Hudson Burgess of Alto; grandparents, Amanda & Kevin Wade of Alto; great grandparents, Lynn & William Burgess of Martin, Brenda Wade and Susan & Frank Jaworski all of Alto; uncles and aunts, Kirby & Ashley Wade of Alto, Kegan Burgess of Martin and Alyssa Thomas of Gainesville; cousins, Destiny Wade, Hunter Wade, Brantley Wade and Easton Thacker.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Monday, November 8, 2021 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Johnny Johnson and Rev. Scott Ledbetter officiating. Interment will follow in the Wade Family Cemetery in Alto.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Those in attendance are asked to please adhere to the public health and social distancing guidelines regarding COVID-19.
