Lloyd Cantrell, age 57 Demorest, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016.
Born in Demorest, Georgia on August 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Orville Earnest Cantrell and Novice Lee Abernathy Cantrell. Mr. Cantrell attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church and loved playing the guitar and singing. He was a cabinet maker for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. Mr. Cantrell was loved by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Cantrell; sisters, Elese Oliver, and Inez Dameron.
Survivors include brothers, Owen Cantrell of Mt. Airy, Ervin Cantrell of Clarkesville, Reggie Cantrell, and Grady Cantrell, both of Demorest; sisters, Bea Allen of Doraville, Patricia Wright of Gainesville, Phyllis Barrett of Cleveland, Josalyn Cantrell of Cumming, Karen Cantrell and Teresa Cantrell, both of Demorest; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside service is 2pm, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Demorest City Cemetery with Bishop Kevin Magness, Rev. John Graham, and Bea Allen officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Friday at the funeral home.
