Louise Smith Dover Brown, age 84, of Clarkesville, GA, passed away Thursday, February17, 2011 at Habersham Home West.
Born on May 07, 1926, in Demorest, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Cleo Pearl Heaton Smith.Mrs. Brown was a member of New Liberty Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star – Clarkesville Lodge.She was also a horticulturist and quilt maker.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was also preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Dover.
Survivors include daughters, Mary Barker of Davidson, NC, Sherrie Raper of Cornelia, and Lisa Bate of Seneca, SC; sons, Bill Dover of Clarkesville, Dickey Dover of Clarkesville, John Dover of Clarkesville, and Ross Dover of Clarkesville; brother, Raliegh Smith of Centralia, IL; 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. James Turpen and Rev. Charles Black officiating.Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Saturday.
