Lucile Green McCrackin, age 79 of Demorest, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2012, at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Habersham County having been born on April 05, 1932 to the late Dean H. Sr. and Ella Williams Green. Ms. McCrackin worked in the textile industry for both Habersham Mills and Mt Vernon Mills. She was of the Holiness faith and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing, reading and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Estelle Tench, Velma Chapman, Rosetta Lumpkin and Ethel Norris and brothers, Dean H. Green, Jr. and Thomas Green.
Survivors include son, Perry McCrackin of Danielsville and brother, Claude Green of Baldwin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7-9 pm on Monday.
