Malcolm Ray Jordan, age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on September 16, 1945 to the late John Henry and Josephine Taylor Jordan. Mr. Jordan was a self employed carpenter for 50 years. He enjoyed gardening and hunting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Myron Jordan; sisters, Marie Vandergriff, Mervin Chapman and Melba Harris.
Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Kim Jordan of Helen and Johnny & Jenny Jordan of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Ronny Trotman of Cornelia; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Franklin of Clarkesville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Thursday, August 9, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Donald Grizzle and Rev. Tony Goss officiating. Interment will follow in Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
