Margaret Patton Caudelle, age 84 of Lula, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at her residence.
Born in Hall County on March 8, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Patton and Mae Miller Patton Dodd. Mrs. Caudelle was a retired banker and active member of Enon Baptist Church. She was a historian who enjoyed gathering history for her family, church, and City of Lula. She was also an avid cook and former member of Lula Better Business Association.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Clarence Caudelle; step-father, Ted Dodd; and sister, Willie Mae Patton.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Roy Gregory “Greg” & Susan Jordan Caudelle of Lula; grandson, Hunter Gregory Caudelle; brother-in-law, Harold Caudelle of Lula.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Monday, January 19, 2015, at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Loyd Martin and Rev. Josh Harrington officiating. Mrs. Caudelle will lie in state at the church from 1:30 pm until the funeral hour.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Chris Porter officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 pm Sunday.
