Mary Frances Wilmont, age 60, of Cornelia, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011 at Habersham County Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on July 06, 1950 she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Icie Dorsey Wilmont. Miss Wilmont retired from Fieldale Farms Corp. and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was instrumental in raising and mothering a nephew, Issac Wilmont and niece, Icie Wilmont. In addition to her parents, Miss. Wilmont was preceded in death by her brother, George Wilmont; sisters, Linda Wilmont, Rosa Nella Thornton; nephew, Issac Wilmont.
Survivors include brothers, Dr. Oliver Dorsey of Decatur, GA, Earlie Williams of Cornelia; sister, Mary Moss of Cleveland; special nieces that were raised in the home, Zedrea Gaines, Ze’Andre Wilmont, Isia Wilmont; several Nieces nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services are 1 pm Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Mt Airy, GA, with Dr. Oliver Dorsey officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery. Miss Wilmont will lie-in-state at the church from 12 pm until the funeral hour.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 pm.
