Melissa Ann Parker Mims, age 45, of Cornelia, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015.
Born on January 12, 1970, in Toccoa, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Sammy Lindsey and Judy Elaine Pruitt Parker.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Greg Martin.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Mims of Cornelia; son and fiancée, Tanner Shook and Katelyn Deeb of Demorest; daughter and fiancé, Ashton Shook and Ryan Earwood of Gainesville; sister, Teresa Perry of Baxley, Georgia; grandmother, Lillian Pruitt of Mt. Airy; three nephews and two nieces; many other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held from 12 pm until 1 pm on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Habersham County Airport in Baldwin.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations may be made to the Melissa Mims Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 725, Cornelia, Georgia 30531.
