Melvin Frank Moody, Jr., age 70, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday, August, 09 2013 at Habersham Medical Center.
Born on February 01, 1943, in Fulton County, he was the son of the late Melvin Frank, Sr. and Catherine Dennard Moody. Mr. Moody was formerly employed with Scovill Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid antique lover and a member of the Hot Rod Club.
Survivors include wife of 20 years, Linda Martin Moody of Mt. Airy; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Randy Hicks of Madison, GA; sister-in-law and spouse, Brenda and Jim Byrnes of Baldwin; nephew and spouse, Louis and Christine Chapman and their children, Catherine Chapman and Rebecca Huckaby all of Madison, GA; niece and daughter, Lisa Sosebee and Angel Sosebee both of Mt. Airy.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday, August 12, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Harrill Millsaps and Rev. Raymond Payne officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Sunday.
