MICHAEL CLAY STRANGE, age 64 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 following an extended illness.
Born in Demorest, Georgia on January 20, 1953, he was a son of Clay Strange of Cornelia, Georgia & the late Nezzie Free Strange. Mr. Strange enjoyed keeping up with the local news for many years, front porch sitting, and watching traffic. He was a member of the Good News Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kent Strange & Keith Strange as well as several uncles & aunts.
Survivors in addition to his father include, brother, Jerry Strange of Cornelia, GA; uncles & aunts, Rev. Lloyd Free & Clara Free, Gene & Doris Strange, Joyce Strange, all of Cornelia, GA; special friends, June & John Dyer & family of Demorest, GA; several cousins, other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour on Saturday.
