Nancy Lois Hart, age 79, of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Virginia on December 8, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Russell Hart and Maude White Hart. Mrs. Hart was retired from Scovill Manufacturing and was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed flowers and gardening in her spare time.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hart was also preceded in death by her brothers, Sherman Hart and Russell “Boy” Hart; sisters, Shirley Norwood, Hazel Ramsey and Jeannie Hammond.
Survivors include daughter, Susan Newsom of Demorest; Preston Newsom of Clarkesville; brother, Donald Hart of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; grandchildren, Israel Segers of Alto, Joshua Newsom of Clarkesville, Jeremy Newsom of Demorest, Evan Bryson of Clarkesville and Shannon McClanahan of Missouri; great grandchildren, Salayna McClanahan, Aralynn McClanahan both of Missouri and Easton Newsom of Clarkesville; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Hollywood Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Don Samples officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
