Nina E. Holbrooks Murray went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 2, 2018.
Born to the late Jesse R. and Mary Melissie Smith Holbrooks on April 16, 1924. Mrs. Murray was a faithful member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. She liked to crochet, grow flowers and loved to read her Bible. She loved her family and missed her mama most of all. She now has a new body and is walking with her mama on the streets of gold. We love you and will miss you deeply.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Samuel, Carl, Frank, Bernice and Wayne Holbrooks; sisters, Allie Holbrooks Savage and Addie Bell Holbrooks Clark.
Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Murray Dill of Cornelia; sons, James B. Murray of Cornelia, Bobby L. Murray (Susan) of Demorest, Donald R. Murray (Linda) of Mt. Airy; brother, Henry F. Holbrooks of Mt. Airy; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 pm, Monday, August 6, 2018 in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Pastor James Lyons and Chaplain Tommy Childress officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
