Paul J. Allen, age 84 of Demorest, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on June 30, 1928, he was the son of the late Arvil and Nell Power Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired supervisor with Scovill Manufacturing where he worked for over 30 years. He was a member of Habersham Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Bud Allen, Frank Allen, Charles Allen, Doug Allen, Thelma Chase and Jean Nations.
Surviving are loving wife of 63 years, Janie Sisk Allen of Demorest; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Sisk & Bill Lassiter of Dahlonega and Lynn & Roger Gribble of Demorest; sisters, Edna Black of Demorest and Yvonne Lindsay of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Dr. Chad Sisk, Angela (Steve) Davis, Lauren (John) Fair and Whitney Gribble; great grandchildren, Zachary Sisk, Matthew Sisk and Hannah Davis; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and wonder neighbors, Vermon and Ruth Banks.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2012, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Amy’s Creek Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Friday.
