Pauline Burrell Tyler, age 83, of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, December 09, 2013 at her residence.
Born on July 07, 1930 in Habersham County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Fathie Simmons Burrell. Mrs. Tyler was a member of Community Baptist Church. She was retired from Clarkesville Mill and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tyler was also preceded in death by her husband, Emery Tyler; daughters, Patricia Jane Tyler and Emily Jean DeHart Tyler; brother, Elligun Burrell.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Barry Mullinax of Clarkesville; sister, Annie Marcus of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Laura and Chad Simmemon, Gator Emory and Allison Mullinax and Jeannie Simmons; great grandchildren, Dedra Simmemon, Shelby Simmemon, Chloe Simmons, Sabrina Dodd and Dallas Dodd; great-great grandchild, Mason Wilson.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday, December 12, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Thomas Gragg, Rev. Danny O’Kelley and Rev. Denver Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery in Turnerville with Rev. Devin O’Kelley officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-9 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
