Peter Gunther Dechant, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, in Gainesville. Born on September 25, 1947, in Frankfurt, Germany, Peter lived a life filled with dedication to his career and passion for his hobbies.

Peter's professional journey as a claim's analyst showcased his commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of healthcare. His expertise and work ethic earned him the respect of his colleagues and the trust of those he served.

Outside of his professional life, Peter cherished his time spent pursuing interests that brought him joy. He was an avid gamer, a camping enthusiast, and enjoyed the camaraderie found in bowling. These experiences allowed him to connect with friends and family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured.

Peter is survived by his daughter, Mandy Stavely (Mark), and his three sons, Earl McDonald, John McDonald, and Patrick McDonald. His legacy continues with his grandchild, Areanna Gallant, who will carry forward the values and love he instilled in his family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Liboria Caldwell Dechant, who remained a significant part of his life and memory.
