Phebe Flarnell Thomas Dodd, age 80, of Dover, Tennessee, formerly of Alto, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.
Born on August 28, 1939, in Hall County, she was a daughter of the late James Grayson and Myrtle Walker Thomas. Ms. Dodd retired from Mt. Vernon Mills and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and gospel singings, as well as watching the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers: Billy Thomas, Bobby Thomas, and Charlie Thomas and sisters, Dorothy King and Winnie Greer.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Nancy Dodd of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Brent Shelton of Dover, TN; grandson, Joshua Dodd of Alto; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in Belton Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020, at the funeral home.
