RALPH WADE LACOUNT, age 60 of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on October 01, 1957, he was a son of the late Arthur LaCount & the late Emma Page LaCount Brumbaugh. Ralph was a 1974 graduate of Habersham Central High School and attended Lanier Technical College in Gainesville. He worked as a Carpenter for many years and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary LaCount.
Survivors include sons, David LaCount & Daniel LaCount both of Cornelia, GA; daughter, Madelyn LaCount of Hawaii; brother & special friend, Edward LaCount & Mildred Stephens, brothers & sisters-in-law, James & Ginger LaCount all of Mt. Airy, GA; Harold & Donna LaCount of Griffin, GA; sisters & brother-in-law, Wanda & Kenneth Maxwell, Margaret Murray all of Cornelia, GA; step-brothers, Randell Brumbaugh & Troy Brumbaugh both of South Dakota, Brent Brumbaugh & Grant Brumbaugh both of Cornelia; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
