Randall Bruce Brown, age 83, of Mt. Airy, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his residence following an extended illness.
Born on February 11, 1927, in Habersham County, he was the son of the late Randol and Lonie Lawrence Brown.Mr. Brown was a member of Hazel Creek Baptist Church and attended Mt. Airy Baptist Church.He had previously been employed with Fieldale Farms.In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was also preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Brown Day, Selma Brown DiGloria, Mildred Brown Morris, Ruth Brown Smith and an infant sister; brothers, Roy, Herman and Hugh Brown.
Survivors include wife, Pauline Brown of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis & Randall Moore of Mt. Airy; son, Joey Brown of Mt. Airy; sister, Emma Brown Patten of Lakeland, GA; granddaughters, Marley Barrett and Mindy Gibby; great grandchildren, Alexia Barrett, Jayda, Peyton, Emiley and Chloe Gibby; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. B.V. Franklin and Rev. Ray Turpin officiating.Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Friday.
