Robert E. “Bob” Aldis, age 66 of Clarkesville, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Kane County, Illinois on February 24, 1944, he was the son of the late William and Edna Mae Johnson Aldis. Bob was retired as a plant supervisor with Southern Switches, having served in the automotive industry for 37 years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Also, Bob served his country proudly in the United States Navy and in Habersham County as Chief of High Angle Rescue and volunteer firefighter. He joins his son, Nathan Aldis, three brothers, two sisters and many fallen heros in our Heavenly Father’s arms.
Surviving are wife, Chrystal Dare Aldis of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Dusti & Chris Casey of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Noah, Olivia and Jana Casey; also one brother and two sisters.
Private services will be held at a later date.
