Robert L. Farmer, age 75 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
Born in White County on April 25, 1938, he was a son of the late Robert A. Farmer and Mae Belle Sosebee Farmer. Mr. Farmer was a retired supervisor for the City of Roswell and was a member of Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are wife, Ruby Lee Goss Farmer of Cornelia; sons, David Wayne Brock, Randy Scott Farmer, and Larry Farmer all of Cornelia, Joseph Farmer of Alto; daughters, Joyce Ann Marcus of Alto and Tina Denise Martin of Cornelia; sisters, Barbara Henderson of Roswell and Patsy Curtian of Powder Springs; 14 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Old Nacoochee Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Pilcher, Rev. Bill Trotter, and Rev. Greg Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Farmer will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour.
Friends and family are requested to assemble at the church no later than 1:45 pm on Saturday.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday.
