Robert Franklin "Bob" Honeycutt, Sr.

Robert Franklin “Bob” Honeycutt, Sr., age 88, of Cornelia and formerly of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015.
Born on October 30, 1926 in Mocksville, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Frank and Blanche Hammer Honeycutt. Mr. Honeycutt was retired from Mead Johnson Pharmaceutical and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia. He was a U.S. Army WWII veteran and a volunteer and past president of Habersham Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary and also a 50 year Mason and member of the Cornelia Masonic Lodge #92 F. & A. M. He enjoyed college football and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Stroud Honeycutt.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Paula Honeycutt of Mt. Airy; grandchildren and spouses, Cody and Katie Honeycutt of Cornelia, Jake and Julie Honeycutt of Greenville, South Carolina and Stroud and Meah Honeycutt of Virginia Beach, Virginia; great grandchildren, Maggie, Allman, Layla and Kali; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Ken Dwiggins of Mocksville, North Carolina.
Graveside services are 2 pm Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1901 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, South Carolina 29609, with Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. All family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 1:30 pm on Thursday.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home, 175 VFW Post Road, Cornelia, Georgia 30531.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
