Robert Lee “Bobby” Trotter, Jr., age 67, of Clarkesville, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his residence.
Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on February 18, 1947, he was a son of Mildred Marie Kinsey Trotter and the late Robert Lee Trotter, Sr. Mr. Trotter was retired from Woods Furniture Company and had also worked with Church and Son Funeral Home for many years. He was also employed with McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home for a short time. Mr. Trotter was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and friends.
In addition to his mother, survivors include wife of 14 years, Phyllis English Trotter of Clarkesville; daughters, Kristi Trotter of Mountain City and Brendala Trotter of Habersham County; stepdaughter, Kayla Costa of Toccoa; four granddaughters and one grandson; sister and brother-in-law, Lynn and Frankie Walters of Clarkesville; niece and spouse, Haley and Rob Hill of Newnan; nephew, Brett Walters of Cedartown; mother-in-law, Betty English of Toccoa; sister-in-law, Lelanda Davis of Toccoa.
A memorial service will be held 5:00 pm Tuesday, September 9th, 2014, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Jerry Mize officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm, following the memorial service.
