Robert Leon Turpin, age 19 of Gillsville, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Born in Stephens County, Georgia on January 27, 1997, he was a son of Edward and Tina Turpin Kelly. Mr. Turpin was a dock worker with Americold Freezer in Pendergrass, Georgia and a 2015 graduate of Habersham Central High School. He enjoyed fishing, reading, and collecting rocks.
Mr. Turpin was preceded in death by a grandmother, Deborah Chastain.
In addition to his parents survivors include his brother, Charley Dean Kelly of Gillsville; grandparents, Charlie & Sharon Turpin of Homer and Barry Chastain of Clarkesville; and a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from the Chapel of McGahee Griffin and Stewart with Pastor Dennis Dills officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
