Rodney Rodrigues Howard, age 38, of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Habersham, County on January 3, 1976, he was the son of the late Peggy Howard Dooley and Roger Scott of Cornelia. Mr. Howard was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, football, coaching basketball, being a comedian, spending time with family and friends and he was a card shark.
Survivors include wife, Jessica Carswell Howard of Clarkesville; son, R.J. Howard of Clarkesville; daughters, Lauren and Jasmine Howard both of Clarkesville; sister, Sharmain Dooley of Cornelia; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Bishop Ernest Burns officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
