Rosie Gosnell Hubbard, age 80 of Demorest, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012, at her residence.
Born in Banks County on December 5, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Brady and Ester Gibson Gosnell. Mrs. Hubbard was a homemaker and member of Silver Shoals Baptist Church. She enjoyed farming, her rose bushes, cooking, gospel singing and spending time with her animals and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas A. J. Hubbard; daughter, Amer Mattie Ethel Hubbard; son-in-law, Jimmy Turpin and granddaughter, Melissa Hubbard Gosnell Rodriguez.
Survivors include husband, A. J. Hubbard of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve & Cathy Hubbard of Demorest, Donald & Rita Hubbard of Lula, Phil & Trinda Hubbard of Cornelia and Julius & Jane Hubbard of Demorest; daughter, Helen Turpin of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Rosie & Lant Eller of Demorest and Emily & Kenneth Jones of Toccoa; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; sister, Katherine Coley of Toccoa; brothers, Ronnie Gosnell of North Carolina and Lester and Buster Gosnell both of Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at Silver Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Monday.
