SARA JANE STANDRIDGE HOWARD, age 73 of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Jackson County, Georgia on February 05, 1940, she was a daughter of Inez Wier Standridge of Loganville, Georgia and the late Summie Standridge. Mrs. Howard was retired after many years of service with McDonalds Restaurant and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church of Cornelia. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Junior Howard.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra Jean & Dan Mashburn, Homer, GA; Sandra Elaine & William Turner, Cornelia, GA; son, Greg “Spot” Patrick, Cornelia, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita & Charles Carruth, Cornelia, GA; Marie & Verlyn Barker, Athens, GA; Venell & Thomas Casper, Monroe, GA; grandchildren, B.J. Rice, Dayton Hall, Damien Turner, Taylor Coker, great-grandson, Blaze Coker; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 02, 2013 from the Chapel of
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with the Rev. Devin Gore officiating. Interment will follow in the V.F.W. Memorial Park Cemetery in Demorest.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, November 01, 2013.
