Sarah Jean Farmer, age 68 of Suches, GA, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013.
Born on March 11, 1945, in Habersham County, she was a daughter of Maude Thompson Broome of Demorest and the late Marion Broome. Mrs. Farmer was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and spending time with her dogs.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Farmer.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Farmer is survived by her sisters, Dorothy Wheeler of Gainesville, Patricia Gailey of Demorest, Gail Foster of Baldwin, Barbara Randall of Mt. Airy and Debbie Stover of Clarkesville; brother, Branson Broome of Toccoa; step granddaughter, Samantha Farmer; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, September 15, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon until the service hour.
