SHIRLEY ANN BANKS, age 60 of Clarkesville, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born on April 21, 1956, she was a daughter of Homer and Carolyn Smith Banks of Clarkesville. Ms. Banks was a caregiver who always enjoyed looking after her family and animals. She loved rock collecting and gardening. Most of all, she enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Thomas Banks.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Banks is survived by her children and spouses, Lisa Taylor of Hall County; Heather & Jarrod Buffington of Bogart; Trey & Amberly Cleveland of Royston; sister and brother-in-law, Debra & Anthony Franklin of Demorest; sister-in-law, Penny Banks of Cornelia; grandchildren, Eli Buffington and Dylan Taylor; nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Anthony Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday.
