Shirley Ann Carson Nix, age 70 of Cornelia, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on December 27, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Elfred and Mildred York Carson. Mrs. Nix was a machine over hauler with Mt. Vernon Mills for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Nix and son-in-law, Randy Pierce.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey David & Misty Nix of Clarkesville; daughters, Leigh Nix of Clarkesville and Melissa Renae Pierce of Cornelia; 6 grandchildren; brother, Douglas McDonald of Cornelia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private graveside services will be held.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
