Thomas Lee Owenby, Jr., age 45 of Mt. Airy, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016.
Born in Demorest, Georgia on May 13, 1970, he was a son of Thomas Lee, Sr. and Judy LaCount Owenby of Mt. Airy. Mr. Owenby was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, camping and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Jo Owenby of Clarkesville; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Terry Miller of Clarkesville; nieces and husband, Savanna and Joe Thomas (daughter, Adi Thomas) all of Minnesota, Heather Owenby of Mt. Airy and Maddison Jutz of Clarkesville; nephew, Ethan Jutz of Clarkesville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are 2 pm Friday, February 19, 2016, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin and Stewart with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
